We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Reliability Engineer to join our Reliability Programs team. This role is critical in driving asset reliability across our facilities, including gathering stations, plants, pipelines, and marine terminals. The ideal candidate will apply Reliability Engineering principles to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities to reduce downtime, enhance safety, and improve operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use reliability engineering tools to evaluate availability and failure data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Help to facilitate and drive reliability improvement initiatives
  • Provide technical assurance and governance for the Production Loss Analysis (PLA) process, ensuring accurate data capture, root cause identification, and action tracking.
  • Assist in the implementation of Asset Performance Management (APM) work processes and tools across the organization.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to implement consistent and value-based preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support and mentor others with the root cause analysis process to determine the underlying causes of reliability issues.
  • Support the regions with the development of their long-term reliability improvement strategies and tactics.


Requirements

 The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in reliability, maintenance, or asset integrity engineering, in the upstream or midstream oil and gas or downstream petrochemical sectors.
  • Knowledge of reliability tools and software (APM platforms, PLA, EAM, statistical analysis tools).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a particular strength in crafting concise and coherent written summaries of analytical findings, recommendations, and complex technical concepts.
  • Effectively work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Certification in Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) or Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP).
  • Experience with digital transformation initiatives in reliability or maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools (Spotfire, Power BI, Excel).
